Pakistan and UAE aim to strengthen trade ties, economic cooperation as envoy meets cabinet ministers
Pakistan’s information minister Attaullah Tarar and the United Arab Emirates envoy, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, met on Wednesday to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and increasing the quantum of trade between the two countries.
The UAE is among Pakistan’s largest trading partners, reflecting strong bilateral relations anchored in shared cultural and economic interests. It has also provided substantial financial and economic support to Pakistan, including investments and aid packages, to help stabilize its economy.
The partnership between the two countries encompasses various sectors, such as investment and infrastructure development, reflecting a robust and mutually beneficial relationship.
The Pakistani minister informed the UAE envoy about the government’s recent economic initiatives and mentioned that tax reforms were being introduced and work was being done for digitalization of the national economy.
