Pakistan and Albania have discussed strengthening bilateral trade ties and advancing cooperation across multiple sectors, including IT and tourism.

Albania’s Consul in Pakistan, Tahseen Sayed, conveyed Tirana’s keenness to expand relations with Islamabad following a meeting with Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, in the Albanian capital, said a press release issued.

She also held meetings with representatives of Albania’s private sector, academic institutions and research bodies, where she said there was considerable interest in learning more about Pakistan and exploring avenues for engagement with Pakistani businesses, universities, think tanks and research institutes.

Pakistan’s import payments from Albania stood at $10,000 in April FY26, while exports stood at $693,000.

The outreach reflects a growing interest in forging closer institutional and commercial links between the two countries, with both sides signaling openness to formalizing cooperation frameworks in the months ahead.
