TTP, Jamaatul Ahrar commanders among 14 terrorists arrested in Punjab

Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department apprehended 14 terrorists, including key commanders from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaatul Ahrar, in intelligence based operations across eight cities.

The arrests in Lahore, Khushab, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Toba Tek Singh, Gujrat, and Sahiwal aimed at thwarting potential terrorist threats.

Notably, senior TTP and Jamaatul Ahrar commanders were detained in Lahore, with the confiscation of explosives, weapons, ammunition, and hand grenades. – The terrorist’s had planned attacks on sensitive installations.

This week alone witnessed 588 combing operations, resulting in 79 arrests and the interrogation of over 25,000 individuals.
