Afghan citizens urge action against TTP presence in Afghanistan

In the aftermath of #Pakistan‘s tightened measures along the Pak-Afghan border, the repercussions are palpable within #Afghanistan. Sources report that residents in #Paktika province have voiced their concerns to the provincial governor & Interim #Afghan govt officials, urging decisive action against the #TTP operating within Afghan borders.

Afghan citizens highlighted the detrimental effects of TTP’s presence, citing instances of extortion and harassment, significantly impacting their daily lives. The citizens lamented that the TTP activities not only led to financial exploitation but also contributed to the closure of border crossings by Pakistan, further endangering their lives. Expressing their distress, the citizens called upon the Afghan government to prioritize the safety and well-being of its people.

They emphatically demanded measures to expel the TTP from Afghan territory & ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address the escalating challenges posed by the terrorist group.
