Afghanistan plans to block the water of Kabul River as part of their plan of water aggression
Afghanistan plans to block the water of #Kabul River as part of their plan of water aggression & has decided to hire #Indian engineers to undertake this devious action.
This move by Afghanistan will somewhat affect the areas of #Charsadda, #Swabi, #Nowshera & #Mohmand in Pakistan, which depend on the Kabul River for agriculture & water supply.
Afghanistan, which has always used the #Pashtun victim card against Pakistan, doesn’t seem to care about the Pakistani Pashtuns before taking this horrendous step. However, it is important to note that the route of the Kabul river originates from the Chitral region of #Pakistan.
After #Chitral River enters Afghanistan, it becomes the #Kunar River & from Mohmand district, the river re-enters Pakistani territory. Pakistan is an expert in diverting rivers with the help of tunnels, the latest example of this is the Neelum-Jhelum project where the water of the #Neelum river is being dug into a 33 kilometres long tunnel & dumped into the #Jhelum river. Therefore, there is no difficulty for Pakistan to divert the water of river Chitral within Pakistan with the help of tunnels. It is imperative for #Afghanistan to take wise diplomatic decisions with Pakistan rather than letting India use Afghan soil against Pakistan. First #India used #TTP against Pakistan via Afghan soil & now this new method of water terrorism.
