DPM calls for sustained Pak-Bangladesh engagement

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said Pakistan looks forward to working with new BNP-led government of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman in a spirit of cordiality, mutual respect, and constructive engagement.
He was talking to a delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh that visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad today.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed great satisfaction over positive momentum in bilateral relations between the brotherly countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
He hoped that the visit of Bangladeshi senior civil servants would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and institutional linkages between the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister also underscored importance of sustained leadership-level engagement, institutional cooperation, and people-to-people linkages between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
