Decision to postpone QUAD Summit to be hosted by India reflects a pragmatic acknowledgment that India’s geopolitical significance alone may not suffice to navigate intricate scheduling constraints of Quad leaders. India’s involvement in assassination plots against its own citizens undermine trust and credibility of Quad as a whole.

While India’s relevance is not diminishing outright, there is a discernible recalibration in considerations shaping U.S. foreign policy in region. Emphasis on strategic cooperation with Pak and careful handling of regional issues indicate an evolving narrative where roles of India and Pak are being reassessed.
