Intricate & diverse problem of terrorism has become deeply ingrained in Pak’s contemporary history, presenting a serious risk to cty’s reputation. Kinetically, Pak has undertaken a comprehensive & effective war to eradicate terrorism across cty. While these kinetic efforts continue, scourge of terror continue to haunt this resilient nation in one way or the other.
Pak is cognizant of fact that besides kinetic approach to suppress menace of terrorism, there is always need to undertake concurrent non kinetic measures to attain a whole of nation approach. Our natl efforts to eradicate terrorism cannot succeed if there is a flawed judicial system in support of these operations. SC’s recent verdict on mil courts has also served as a serious setback to speedy justice system serving as deterrence to ts involved in heinous crimes.
Another measure towards deradicalization of society is proliferation of true essence of religion. Message of Paigham e Pak, a religious decree unanimously issued by religious scholars in 2017, clearly denounces terrorism. This interaction will definitely serve as catalyst in renewing our natl endeavors against acts of terror.
A comprehensive & varied strategy is required in Pak’s fight against terrorism. Menace is to be countered through a whole of nation approach. It is warranted that both kinetic & non-kinetic efforts to be blended for eradication of terrorism & extremism from cty.
