Unveiling the reality behind their claims
– In a recent address, Maulvi Yaqub, the acting Minister of Defense for the Afghan Taliban regime, delivered a speech rife with misinformation and propaganda.
– Yaqub alleged that since the Taliban assumed power, foreigners, particularly Tajik and Pakistani citizens, have been involved in attacks on various targets within #Afghanistan, including mosques, seminaries, religious scholars, and public gatherings. “The number of attackers includes Tajiks initially, followed by Pakistanis.” (Yaqub)
– Conspicuously absent from Yaqub’s discourse was any mention of the significant presence of Al Qaeda members operating under the Taliban umbrella in #Afghanistan.
– Thousands of Al Qaeda affiliates have found sanctuary within the country, establishing a stronghold.
– Furthermore, the rise of the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) has been fueled by defections from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
– Yaqub failed to acknowledge the strength of ISKP, attributed in part to defections from within their own ranks.
– Yaqub conveniently omitted the existence of newly established Al Qaeda training bases in Afghanistan.
– Yaqub forgot to address the presence of ISKP training camps and recruitment points within #Afghanistan itself.
– The Minister of Defense also forgot to mention the significant presence of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khawarijs terrorists and their leadership in #Afghanistan, including in the capital city, #Kabul.
– Yaqub, along with other so-called Islamist leaders, hosts individuals responsible for attacks on mosques and public places, as well as those involved in the tragic loss of innocent Muslim lives in #Pakistan.
– Yaqoob failed to mention the significant number of IEA affiliates and Afghan citizens killed by Pakistani security forces on Pakistani soil during counter-terrorism operations.
– Before accusing Pakistan, Yaqoob should reflect on his own country, which serves as a breeding ground for terrorists, provides sanctuary to global terrorists, and is a stronghold of terrorism.
– The United Nations also raised growing security concerns in #Afghanistan while highlighting worrisome trends witnessed in recent months, particularly the continuing presence of foreign terrorist groups in the country.
